PAL UNIT- CHARACTER MODEL AND BUILD

FINAL MODEL:

Completed in my university project to develop and build 10 assets for a personal project I first worked on the PAL unit. With only 12 weeks to build 10 assets to completion this proved to be a challenge. This final render was modelled in Blender, textured in Adobe Substance Painter and rendered in Blender using Cycles and the 3 point lighting method.

WIREFRAMES

I primarily used hard surface modelling for this model. This limited the amount that I needed to retopologise.

When modelling the interior, I wanted to create a steampunk feel that combined some older elements such as the tactile wheels and wooden interior.

I tried to keep everything low poly and think i succeeded in that.

The game needed a character model to be quickly integrated into the game. To do this I sculpted and retopologised this model in about a week.
